When I watched the weather douche on fox 4 last night he was assuring me that we were in for a couple of inches of the white stuff. This morning however his forecast was an exercise in vagueness and ambiguity, in other words he didn't have a clue. I should have been a weather man, Ive been getting shit wrong my entire life and making it seem like I knew what I was talking about. So here are a couple of pics of snow falling in Midtown, and a few from my foray into Raytown. Actually, I haven't made it in to Raytown proper just yet. I'm checking wireless signals, hey its an ugly job , but somebody has got to do it.
Aside from the 2 or 3 pics of midtown, the rest were taking just east of 350 hwy and 55th st. Notice the gang graffiti in one of the pics. Hey white boys are are living the rural thug life, in between herding cows and watermelon seed spittin drive by's. Yo , Eb, pass the skoal. I'm guessing the gang sign for these future farmers of America is 3 fingers up like a pitch fork and the gang color is John Deere green.

I was so mad when channel 5 preempted CBS Sunday morning just so they could repeat the same tired warnings for an hour and a half. All lies, as it turns out. Out here in the boonies it did snow a bit, but the temperature never got below 34. It's 38 now, and the snow is thawing like crazy.
ReplyDeleteSince when is the possibility of 4 inches of snow such a big deal in Missouri? Especially on a Sunday when most people don't have to work.
same here, it fell like crazy, now its melting just as fast.
ReplyDeleteYea Raytown!
ReplyDeleteWait a damn minute! Raytown can hardly be considered "rural." Sure, there's a lot of backward ass people that may consider family reunions an opportunity to pick up chicks but that's because their backward, not rural.
ReplyDeleteP.S. It's kind of fun to drive through Raytown every once-in-a-while. It seems like time stopped in the 70's/early 80's in those parts. It's amazing how many cameros and muscle cars there are. And, the hair styles. If you're a fan of mullets Raytown is the place to be.
P.S.S. Notice the incorrect usage of the word "their." I've lived too close to that town for too long!
ReplyDeletei'm cruisin' thru Raytown even as I write, my goat burblin' low and mean, scarin' the fuckin' bejebus outta the the Ray South seniors hangin outside of Bebo's, they won't dare look me in the eye...i need to get back to mid-town where it's a least a challenge to rip me sum wi-fi, but this is the last podunk lil' town left where I can get me a cop to go who won't bust me just because his cruiser is so overloaded that my gto eats his lunch...well, maybe Grandview, but, fuck, they don't have a stretch of road over 100 yards long down there...crap - runnin' outta ether; hi-yo, silver, awayyyyyy!

Im not about to say anything derogatory about Raytown, I know for a fact at least 2 of my readers are from Raytown, so Im not gonna insult 25 percent of my readership. There is however a serious lack of Starbucks, and that is definetly a downside in my humble opinion.
ReplyDeleteYou're right. Starbucks is missing in Raytown. So is a good place along 350 to get a "healthy" lunch outside of a 2 hr wait at Applebees and the dirty hands girl at Subway.
