Weird Stuff

You might have taken a shine to the orange fur covered Cadillac in my Urban Blight Tour post, then again you may have thought it was hideous. I think it's a beeeeeyouteefool thang, but I lack any real sense of taste or style, so go figure. I was always a Lincoln Town car man myself, until they changed them in to the bloated Fords they are today, and until gas prices shot so high. But I digress, the caddy sits in front of Weird Stuff Antiques. They changed locations about a year or so back, and I ventured over to their new location a couple of weeks ago. It is smaller , or has less stuff, or both, but it is still chock full of some of the most useless stuff known to man, and I wish I could buy all of it. So here are a few shots for your edification and enjoyment.

Remember the giant carrot I stumbled upon in this post? Well here is its baby brother. And the mystery is solved, both carrots came from a failed health food restaurant on 39th street. They were used as signs according to the Aussie/ New Zealand guy who works at Weird Stuff. And not for nothin, but don't get this guy started talking, he wont shut his cake hole until you leave the building. The charming figure above caught my eye, heh. I recoiled in horror when I turned the corner and at first thought I had encountered my ex wife number two.To be honest these are really crappy pictures, but there is so much stuff in here, I was overwhelmed, and couldn't focus on any single item. You really need to go there or check out the website.

So the next time you are bored and cant think of anything better to do, check out Weird Stuff Antiques, just don't say anything to the Aussie guy or you'll be half a day trying to get out of there. The website is full of awesome stuff you didn't know you needed. The couple who own the place are good folks, and unlike their over enthusiastic sales / shop keeper guy, they wont talk your ear off.

  1. Thanks for the tip, although I may go broke because of it. Who knew I needed an old pepsi machine?
