Fresh Squeezed Juice. Can OJ get a fair trial, and does anyone really care?

Let me make a prediction about the outcome of the OJ Simpson trial currently underway in Vegas. Simpson will either be convicted of one or two of the lesser charges, or he will be convicted of all the charges which will be overturned on appeal. In the end, the Juice will walk, and that is a shame. The prosecution in this case screwed the pooch from the git go. You cannot allow an all white jury, a majority of whom are women, to try the case of a high profile black man known best for killing his white wife, and beating the rap. The entire case stinks of over exuberant prosecutors and cops, who have a notorious defendant in their sites.

Lets take a look at the cops who were the responders to the scene of the crime. They are on tape, recorded unbeknown to them by one of the victims. The tape was played during day 2 of the trial. The detectives are overheard gleefully discussing how they are gonna get the guy that got away in LA. Automatic grounds for appeal. It shows a bias and tunnel vision on the part of investigators. Before they even gather up the evidence and delve into the details, they have set their sites on Simpson. Bad move number one.

Bad move number two. They give a pass to the guys who had the guns, who were involved by their own admission in the crime, in exchange for rolling over on the defendant. A half assed lawyer will rip them to shreds. You cant build a case solely upon the testimony of co defendants of dubious character.

Bad move number three, and the ace in the hole for the defense. An all white jury, not a single African American in the bunch. We aren't living in Alabama circa 1950. Even one African American seated in the jury, and not as an alternate as is the case here, one African American would have killed the automatic appeal which will be based in part on racial disparity, and a lack of Simpson's own peers. Hey, dont blame me, I dont make the rules.

Prosecutors in Vegas should have studied the murder trial in LA. They should have gleaned as much info and insight as possible. The first thing they would have learned was how to build a case , based on solid evidence, and solid witnesses. They would have seen what happens when a prosecution team gets star struck. They would have discovered how a no brainer case can blow up in your face if you jump the gun. They would have learned that unscrupulous witness testimony can backfire on you. Mark Furman anyone?

Do I think OJ is guilty in this case? Yeah, most likely he is guilty of some of the charges, but I really dont care. The supposed victims were as shady as the suspects, there weren't any innocent characters involved. I had hoped the Juice would get squeezed pulpless , it would have been perverted justice, retribution for the case he was good for that took two lives. I could have lived with that. Sadly, I dont see the case in Vegas putting OJ behind bars, at least for any real time.

  1. No, there is no way OJ will ever get a fair trial but he is way too egotistical too see that. There will foreever be someone out there that will want to make him pay for Ron and Nicole.

  2. This whole thing is a farce and yet another waste of the taxpayer money. The justice I'd like to see carried out is if somehow someone could make him so penniless, he'd end up living under a bridge somewhere.
