I'm afraid your steak is going to be a little overcooked

The Hereford House is a Kansas City icon, it's been around as long as I care to remember. The food isn't what it once was, and I haven't been there in a couple of years, still in my eyes it's a Kansas City landmark. With a downtown that is quickly becoming unrecognizable, the Hereford House sits in a small pocket mostly unchanged. I was watching Fox 4 this morning and they were saying the ATF was investigating the explosion, that a special team that had been involved in investigating the Oklahoma City bombing was dispatched to look in to this small restaurant explosion. Seemed like overkill to me, but what do I know.

So I drove down there and took these pictures. It doesn't look that impressive, but it must have been a pretty good blast. What none of the News stations have shown is the west side of the building. The blast came out of the south end of the building, the entrance. The west side is the pictures below. You can see the wall is bulging out through the brick, it blew a wood panel off. You might want to think about the Golden Ox or the Majestic, for your next over priced downtown steak dinner.
