Kidnapping in Lone Jack?

Let me get this straight. If Fox 4 is reporting this correctly , a 10 year old boy is claiming he was kidnapped by 2 black men, from his backyard in Lone Jack Missouri. The kidnappers then released him just 2 miles from his home, unharmed. The lone Jack police are all over this one like white on rice.

I'm not going to say this didn't happen, but I don't think it happened, ooops , my bad. Anyone familiar with Lone jack knows it as a little speed trap on 50 highway about 10 minutes or so east of Lees Summit. Their claim to fame other than the single digit police dept. is a civil war museum, and an ex police chief that was dipping in to the ya-yo, (coke), who if I recall correctly was sent packing to rehab, cant recall if he was ever charged with anything. Anyway, I'm not knocking Lone Jack, its just another really rural little town where not much ever happens, until now.

I'm no Kojak, although I've got the hairstyle for it, but something smells fishy in this kids claim. I actually lived for a very brief time in Lone Jack during my tenure with wife number 2. My stay there was almost as short as my marriage, about 10 months. I never saw a single person of color in Lone Jack, unless you count a crimson colored neck, of which there were more than a few, police included. One of the reasons I left lone jack was constant police harassment. I got a ticket for rolling through a stop sign, at 5 miles an hour or so, in the middle of nowhere. When the cops ran me and discovered my less than stellar history, I found myself face down on a gravel road while they did their best imitation of Pac Man from the movie Colors, from then on these mullet heads pulled me over every time they saw me, and I was white, still am. My point is that there aren't a lot of black folks in the area, let alone roving packs of black kidnappers. I'm not calling the kid a liar, but i think he is lying, ooops, I did it again.

Okay time to cut the tip toeing around the subject. kidnappers don't generally turn the abductee loose two miles down the road. They don't generally snatch 10 year old boys from their back yards in rural areas. And they don't generally commit their crimes in areas where they will stick out like Louis Farrakhan at a tractor pull. I could be wrong, but my guess is that the youngster decided to run away or take a unauthorized trip down the road. Family friends found him out of bounds and he concocted the story to save himself some punishment. Maybe I'm wrong, but I doubt it.

Who loves ya baby!
**** disclaimer**** Before I get a bunch of hate mail, which I secretly like, let me just say that while I have taken a skeptics view on this alleged kidnapping, I don't think kidnapping is a laughing matter or to be taken lightly. If it turns out I'm proven wrong, I will be the first to admit it and apologize. But this story just doesn't ring true.
