You might recall my recent post about 120 day shock and Missouri courts routinely handing out probation, time and again. Read Pt 1 and Pt. 2 if you haven't already. So it comes as little surprise that once again, second and third chances don't mean dick to someone who doesn't have their mind right. The Star reports : A Kansas City police sniper shot and killed a suspected carjacker this afternoon as the 18-year-old man held a knife to his mother’s neck in east Kansas City.

Shit gets deeper. This son of the year, who held a knife to his own mothers throat, had just received probation, twice, in the past month. A tampering case, a burglary case, a resisting case, and just for good measure, a Robbery case. After the police sniper took this prick out, his mother yelled, "You shot my son". Then went back in the house herself before coming out 10 minutes later.
Prediction time boys and girls.
It's important to note that there were domestic violence incidents on record, the son had apparently attacked his mother in the past, according to fox 4.
Mom probably paid major cheddar to keep her baby out of prison. Baby boy repays her by attempting to use her as a human shield. If the all too familiar script is played out, Mom will be coming out in the near future saying the cops shouldn't have killed her boy. A lawsuit will probably be filed for wrongful death. Much like the case in KCK where some young knuckle head got blazed by the cops after making a decision to point a gun at them. Parents let their kids run amok, then blame everyone but themselves and their spawn, when junior gets his ticket punched. While I don't discount the genuine grief people feel over losing one of their children at the hands of the police, their reaction is very telling. When it comes time to affix blame, it will be the cops , society, schools, something or someone, but never the perpetrator, never his upbringing. Never that.
Update*** I copied the mugshot of Blake Bowman, the deceased 18 year old from the KCPD website. You speak about parent(s) but it's usually the fact that there is only one parent around with kids like this and it's almost certainly the mother who raises the kid alone in less than desirable circumstances of poverty, bad neighborhoods, gangs, etc. Until society gets back to strong family units, I don't think things will ever improve.
